Installation and configuration
This topic describes the enhancements to installation and configuration.
Upgrade to Kofax TotalAgility 8.0.0 is supported from Kofax TotalAgility 7.8.0 and later.
Support automatically updating Integration Server and Transformation Designer
TotalAgility supports upgrading the version of the Integration Server and Transformation Designer using the Kofax TotalAgility Auto Upgrader utility when the version of Kofax TotalAgility On-Premise Multi-Tenant deployment is higher than the Integration Server, and if an upgrade is detected on restarting the Kofax TotalAgility Core Worker Service. Configure the Auto upgrade settings in the Tenant Management System before running the Auto Upgrader utility. The upgrade process using Auto Upgrader utility is only supported from TotalAgility 8.0.0 and higher.
For more information, see "Upgrade using the Kofax TotalAgility Auto Upgrader Utility" in the Kofax TotalAgility Integration Server Installation Guide.
Option to configure the License Server with HTTP or HTTPS
A new Enable HTTPS option is added to the TotalAgility Configuration Utility to configure the License Server with HTTP or HTTPS.
Cookies created by TotalAgility have a path specified to "/TotalAgility"
By default, the "Host Prefix for Cookies" setting is not enabled in the Configuration utility, which means the Cookies created by TotalAgility have the path specified to "/TotalAgility" where cookies are stored in "/TotalAgility" (website name); otherwise, any application hosted on the same server can access the cookies. If the setting is enabled, the cookies created by TotalAgility have the path set to "/" because the __Host prefix for a cookie always requires cookie Path to be set to "/".
KCM Proxy installer independent of Microsoft Web Platform installer
The KCM Proxy installer is updated to remove the dependency on the Microsoft Web Platform installer.
Support for improved term licensing
TotalAgility on-premise and on-premise multi-tenant environments include the following licensing enhancements:
-
When viewing the licensing statistics, all license types now include a start date and end date.
-
The expired licenses are not displayed by default. Use the Show term expired licenses option to view the expired licenses.
-
When configuring the license expiration thresholds, an exception process is triggered based on the last expiration of term licenses.
-
When activating a license server, the license server automatically generates the license server version.
See Set threshold for a primary server and Set threshold for a backup server in the TotalAgility Designer Help.
