Reporting escalation management
Reporting involves the creation of WSA messages which are later transformed into the reporting data within TotalAgility. When everything is running as expected, these WSA messages are fully processed daily. When there is a lack of system resources and other such issues, then the WSA messages may not get fully processed and result in ongoing performance issues as the number of records in the WSA table increases.
The Reporting escalation feature helps you to monitor the table, and some associated tables and raise an escalation if it appears that the processing is not operating as expected.
The following new options are added to support Reporting escalation:
-
The Reporting escalation option lets you set the thresholds to specify when the escalation process should be launched. This option is only available if "Enable the reporting feature" is selected in the Reporting server System settings.
-
The Monitor Reporting system task monitors the reporting tables at a specified time interval and triggers an escalation process if any problem occurs. See System tasks for more information.
-
The Monitor Reporting option available on the Management Console tab in Workspace helps you to display the line charts of the tables that are monitored and see the trends in Reporting stats. See Monitor Reporting for more information.
All options except for the Management Console apply to both an on-premise installation and a tenant in a multi-tenant installation.
