Manage security roles

A security role is a role that has users and a security token assigned to it.

You create a security token and associate it with a form control in TotalAgility Designer. Refer to the Tungsten TotalAgility Designer Help for more information on security tokens.

Then within the Workspace, administrators can create security roles and associate tokens and users with the security roles, thus delivering flexibility in how security is managed.

  1. On the Administration menu, click Security Roles.

    The Security Roles page appears.

  2. Click Create.

    The Security Role - Create page appears.

  3. Select a category, and enter a name and description for the security role.
  4. Associate tokens with the security role:
    1. Click the Tokens tab.
    2. Click Add.

      The Security Tokens dialog box appears.

    3. Select the security tokens to associate with the role.
  5. Associate users with a security role:
    1. Click the Resources tab.
    2. Select users or groups.
  6. Click Save.

    The new security role is saved with tokens and associated users or groups.
