Change the state of a job

States are the changes through which a process map can pass from inception to completion. Use states to monitor the status or percentage of completion for a job. For example, an order might pass from an ORDER ARRIVED state to an AWAITING DELIVERY state, to an INVOICE PAID state. See the Tungsten TotalAgility Designer Help for more information.

To manually change the state of a job at runtime:

  1. On the Jobs menu, click Find.
  2. On the Actions column for the job, click Select and click Change State.

    The Change State pop-up appears.

  3. On the States list, select the new state to assign to the job.
  4. Click Change State.

    The new state is assigned to the selected job. The percentage complete—the percentage of the job that was completed once this state was assigned to the job—is also updated. The percentage complete value for a state is set up in TotalAgility. See Tungsten TotalAgility Designer Help.
