File toolbar

The File toolbar buttons provide standard operations with files.

Button Command Description
New button
New Closes currently opened document to create a new document.
Open button
Open Opens an existing document while closing any previously opened document.

This command allows you to preview files and view properties (such as format, name, and image size) of a selected file by clicking the File Info button on the left side of the window, under Paths. When a multipage file is selected in this window, you can select which page of the file to display in the preview pane by entering the page number in the Page No box.

Insert Inserts a document after the active page.
Append Appends a document after the last page.
Saves As button
Save As Saves the current document to a file. This command opens the standard Save As dialog in which you can specify path, name, and type of the image file in which to save the document. You can also configure the following image options:
  • BPP – Specifies color depth in bits-per-pixel. Available color depths depend on the type of the image.
  • Sub Type – Specifies a subtype of the currently selected image type. Available subtypes depend on the selected image type and color depth.
Scan button
Scan Insert Scans a document and inserts scanned pages after the active page.
Scan Append button
Scan Append Scan and append additional scanned pages to the current scan process.
Show TWAIN button
Show Scanner Settings Shows the TWAIN or ISIS interface during the scan process. When this option is selected, select either Scan Insert or Scan Append. The settings dialog box for the corresponding driver, either TWAIN or ISIS, will be displayed.
Scanner Settings button
Scanner Settings Click to select the scanner settings to be used for scanning documents. Scanner settings can be set by clicking Options > Scanner Settings. By default, Scanner Default is selected. The default cannot be removed.

This feature supports standard TWAIN settings. If your scanner has added settings that may not be supported by this feature, see Scanner Settings limitation in Restrictions and limitations.

Undo button
Undo Undoes an image processing action.
Redo button
Redo Cancels the previous undo.
Copy button
Copy Copies a selected image.
Paste button
Paste Pastes a copied image.
Print button
Print Sends the current document to a printer. This command opens standard Print dialog box in which you can adjust print settings before sending the document to printer.
About button
About Displays the About dialog box, which shows build and version information for the QuickCapture Pro application. You can provide this information when filing a service request.
