Add text as a watermark

The Add Watermark tool applies a text as a watermark. To use an image as a watermark, see Add an image as a watermark.

To add a text watermark:

  1. Select the Edit > Add Watermark (Add Watermark icon) tool.

    The Add Watermark dialog box appears.

  2. Select the Place Text tab (default).
  3. In the Text box, type the text to apply as a watermark.
  4. In the Text format section, select the font name, font size, bold, italic attributes, and font color.
  5. In the Position section, proceed with one of the following:
    • Select a placement on the page using the 3×3 position grid.
    • Optionally, select Mosaic to repeat the watermark in all positions.
  6. In the Opacity list, select an opacity level to control the visibility of the watermark.
  7. For diagonal or vertical placement, select a rotation angle in the Rotate list.
  8. In the Pages section, specify the range of pages to include.
  9. ln the Layers section, select As background to display the watermark behind text and images.
  10. Select OK.
