Split PDF

In Power PDF, splitting means either specifying which page ranges to save or splitting the document into equal parts. Use the Split PDF tool for both.

  1. On the Pages toolbar, select Split PDF (Split PDF icon).

The Split PDF dialog box appears.

  2. To specify one or more custom ranges to save from the document, do the following::
    1. Select the Custom Range tab (default).
    2. In the first range section, specify the first and last pages of the range in the From page and To boxes.
    3. For specifying more ranges, select Add Range, then repeat the above step with the new section.
    4. Select Split pages and merge them into one PDF to download a single PDF document containing all ranges. Otherwise, the download will be a .zip file with one PDF per range.
  3. To split up the whole document at an interval, do the following:
    1. Select the Fixed Range tab.
    2. In the Split page range box, specify the interval. Verify the summary below the box.
Example: If the document has 8 pages, and you specify 2 as an interval, then Power PDF splits every 2 pages into a PDF file, resulting in a .zip file with 4 PDF files altogether.
  4. Select OK.
It may take time for Power PDF to prepare and download the requested pages. Follow the instructions on the screen.
