Use DocuSign

For documents that must be signed, use the DocuSign integration to request secure, electronic signatures from one or more people. You must log in to DocuSign to upload the documents that require a signature. For more information about DocuSign, refer to the DocuSign support site.

Log in to DocuSign

To log in to DocuSign:

  1. On the Security toolbar, select DocuSign (DocuSign icon), then select Sign In (Sign In icon).

The DocuSign login page appears in the browser.

  2. Enter a valid user email address, then select Next.

Your browser may remember your address from past logins and proceed to the password immediately.

  3. Enter the password, then select Log in.

After a successful login, you can upload the active document to DocuSign.

Upload a document to DocuSign

Before uploading documents to DocuSign, you must finish all revisions in the cloud editor and log in to DocuSign. If you edit documents after they are signed, the signature is no longer valid.

  1. On the Security toolbar, select DocuSign (DocuSign icon), then select Upload and create envelope (Upload icon).

    A confirmation message appears.

  2. Select Open in DocuSign.

DocuSign opens in the browser with the envelope containing the uploaded document.

  3. Add more documents (optional).
If needed, add more files to the envelope for signing or reference.
  4. Add recipients.

Specify the individuals who need to sign or view the document. For each recipient, define the following:

    • Name

    • Email

    • Role (such as someone who needs to sign or receive a copy)

  5. Set access code (optional).
To increase security, assign an access code that signers must enter to view the document. Share the code with recipients separately.
  6. Write a message (optional).
Customize the email subject and message that recipients will receive with the envelope.
  7. Place signature and other fields.
Use the tagging interface to add required fields such as Signature, Date Signed, Initials, or Name where needed for each recipient.
  8. Send the envelope.
Review your settings, then send the envelope. Recipients will be notified by email to sign or view the contents of the envelope.
