IMAP or IMAP using Limilabs input configuration properties
On the Input source dialog box of an IMAP input configuration, use the following settings to edit the input source configuration.

Type |
Displays IMAP as the selected input source type. This property cannot be changed. |

Name |
The name of the IMAP input source configuration. |

Description |
Describes what the configuration is used for. |

IMAP mail account > Mail account |
|

Mail server |
The computer that hosts the server. |
|
Port on IMAP server (143 is default) |
The port that is used on the IMAP server. If nothing else is specified, port 143 is used. |

Use SSL (default port 993) |
The port that is used if Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is used. If used and nothing else is specified, the Port on IMAP server setting is changed to 993. Note that certificate errors can occur when using IMAP using Limilab input sources. See IgnoreCertificateErrors topic in INI file help for info on how to adjust security settings. |

User |
The user used to access the server. |

Password |
Password to access the server. |
|
Start folder |
A filter to display only specific folder(s) during configuration. If the mail profile has a lot of folders, it can take time during configuration to see the entire list. By specifying a filter here using the names of the desired folders, only those folders need be displayed in the configuration dialogs for this IMAP configuration. Example: If the folders that should be used include COLLECTOR in the name and are found in the Inbox folder, you could specify *COLLECTOR* here to only display those folders in the next dialog (this does not work for IMAP input sources that use Limilabs). This is only used during this configuration task while the ReadSoft Collector folders are being specified. |

Tests the connection using the settings specified above. |

- Click an item in the folder list to access any potential sub-folders (a + sign is added to the list entry if sub-folders are present).
- Click the plus sign (+) next to a folder in the list to display sub-folders.
- You can create new folders by right-clicking a folder in the list and selecting Create folder .
