Treat entire email as single invoice

This setting is made in the Email settings tab of the Job configuration dialog box when configuring the Interpret job to process email in the Interpret or Manager module of ReadSoft Invoices.

If Treat entire email and all attachments as a single invoice is selected, attachments are treated as individual pages of a single invoice. Use this option in the following scenarios:

  • When all attached image files belong to a single invoice.
  • When you want to combine the images from an image generator (scanner, MFP, etc.) which only allows the creation of single-page JPG images, into a single invoice.
  • When you need to use the JPG format (which is always in single pages) to be able to use compression alternatives that are not available with other image file formats.
  • When the size of a single multipage image file would be too large to handle.

Example: If an email is intended for ReadSoft Invoices and contains more than one image file, each attached image file is treated as a separate page of the invoice.

  1. Using the Kofax ReadSoft Invoices Manager or Interpret module, open or create the job that you configured to process emailed invoices using ReadSoft Collector.
  2. In the Interpret > Source settings of the dialog box that is displayed, select Data source extension as the invoice source.
  3. Select ReadSoft Collector in the list.
  4. Click Configure.
  5. Click the Email settings tab, and select Treat entire email and all attachments as a single invoice.
  6. Click OK.

    • AllPagesAreInvoicePagesInterpret setting is made exclusively for XML Invoices. The XML invoices when used as part of attachment irrespective of the setting enabled/disabled, the mail body is treated as Appendices.

    • If Use batch mode is selected in the job description in ReadSoft Invoices when ReadSoft Collector is used as the input source, this option produces a single invoice and batch for each email.
