Move emails that contain emails as attachments to error folder

By default, emails that are included in an email as attachments are ignored (meaning that they do not get processed) when the email they belong to is processed. If you want to be able to decide what to do with the attachments, you can collect the emails in one place by sending the emails that contain emails as attachment to the error folder:

  1. Using the ReadSoft Invoices Manager or Interpret module, open or create the job that you configured to process emailed invoices using ReadSoft Collector.
  2. In the Input source tab of the ReadSoft Collector job configuration dialog under How to handle emails when they contain attached emails, select Move emails to error folder.
  3. Click OK.

    This does not currently work with LOTUS DOMINO in connection with IMAP, but you can do the following to make it work the same way:

    • To ignore emails as attachments - add the EML extension to the ignored list on the File extensions tab of the ReadSoft Collector job configuration dialog. Add all the file extensions to be ignored to the list.

      You cannot use the Use accepted extensions only option once you add file extensions to the ignore list.

    • Move to error folder - when this option is selected, emails are moved to the error folder whenever they contain emails as attachments.
