Package settings
On the Package settings page, you can update the signing package details.

Package settings
- Name
The name of the signing package.
- Description
The description for the signing package.
- Expires
Define if the signing package expires and becomes voided if not yet completed.
- Create audit trail
Audit trail records all relevant actions during the signing package life cycle. If enabled, the final document attachment will contain an audit trail.
- Allow in-person signing
If enabled, the package can be used for in-person signing (Sign now).
An administrator can prevent changing this setting. In this case, the switch is read-only. - Enforce signing mode
Enforces a specific signing method for all the signature fields of a signer in a document of a signing package. If enabled, the signer is forced to sign the rest of the signature fields with the same signing mode which is used to sign the first signature field. Suppose a subsequent signature field doesn’t support the first selected signing method. In that case, the enforcement mechanism is ignored for this field, and the signer can select from the available signing methods as usual.
An administrator can prevent changing this setting. In this case, the switch is read-only.
Notifications
- Signing invitation send date
Define when a signing invitation email is sent to recipient(s).
- Reminders
When a reminder is added email reminders are sent to recipients if they haven’t yet completed the signing package.
When using series signing routing only the first recipient gets a reminder email if he/she hasn’t yet completed the signing package. - Email subject
The title of the signing invitation email that is sent to recipients.
- Email message
Text to include in signing invitation email.
Email fields advanced features
Both Email subject and Email message fields support advanced features:
- Use the $USER placeholder in the fields text to insert the name of
the current user (signing package creator) in the email automatically. Being
placed in the
Email subject the
placeholder will be replaced with the recipient name; used in
Email message it will be
replaced with signing package creator.
- Auto-fill with the default value. You can clear all existing content in the fields to let the application insert default text from the configuration. Note that the application uses default values for the language of the signing package recipients.
Start a signing package
After the user clicks Finish, the signing package is prepared and ready to be started. Once the first remote recipient opens his signing session by clicking the link in the invitation email or an in-person signing session is triggered, the package changes to started state.
