Paragraph Detection Settings window
Use this window to configure paragraph detection. This window has the following settings.
- Execute paragraph detection during recognition
-
Select this setting so that paragraph detection is performed during recognition. This is related to the Classification Locator and assumes that you have a project configured to classify specific paragraphs based on content.
- Sensitivity
-
These advanced settings enable you to tweak the various paragraph detection sensitivities.
- Vertical spacing
-
Use the slider to select how sensitive you want vertical spacing to affect paragraph detection. (Default: 1.0)
As you increase this value, the line spacing in a detected paragraph decreases. Lowering the sensitivity enables the detection of paragraphs with larger line spacing.
This is similar to when a word processing application has its line spacing set to 1.
- Horizontal spacing
-
Use the slider to select how sensitive you want horizontal spacing to affect paragraph detection. (Default: 1.0)
As you increase this value, the space between detected columns decreases. Lowering the sensitivity enables the detection of columns with larger spaces between them.
- Indentation
-
Use the slider to select how sensitive you want indentation spacing to affect paragraph detection. (Default: 1.0)
As you increase this value, the indentation size of a detected paragraph decreases. Lowering this sensitivity enables the detection of columns with larger indentations.
This is similar to when a word processing application has its paragraph indentation set to Tab.
