The Hierarchy view is available only for test sets or benchmark sets when the default document subset is selected. If any other document subset is selected, the Hierarchy View toolbar setting is not available.

The documents in this view are displayed in a hierarchy.

There is always a Root Folder displayed in the documents list whether you have foldering enabled or not. The Root Folder corresponds to the Project in the Project Tree window, or the Project Folder as soon as foldering is enabled. It also represents the batch compared to the scenario in the production environment.

This view is commonly used to test foldering, batch operations, and runtime script events.

You can perform the following actions using the Hierarchy view:

• Open a document in the Document Viewer window

• Add the selected documents to the Classification Set for the selected class in the Project Tree

• Add the selected documents to the Extraction Set for the selected class in the Project Tree

• Perform recognition for the selected documents

• Classify the selected documents

• Extract the selected documents

• Process the selected documents by performing both classification and extraction in a single step

• Remove or Load existing classification and extraction data for the selected documents

• Open a document in Windows Explorer

• Open a document in Tungsten Transformation - XDoc Browser

• Perform batch editing operations

• Normalize the source file structure for the selected documents
