Create additional deployments and add environments
You can create additional deployments for your data center and add multiple environments for each deployment. Each deployment can be a different version of TotalAgility. For example, you can create additional deployments for TotalAgility 7.11.0 and 8.0.0. TotalAgility supports zero or more additional deployments, and these deployments exist independently. Upgrading, deactivating, and deleting a deployment does not impact other deployments.
-
On the
Data Center page , click
Create for
Additional Deployments.
The Configure Deployment dialog box is displayed.
-
Configure the additional deployments.
- Enter the Deployment Name specified while installing the additional deployment from setup.exe.
-
Enter the
Host URL for the deployment.
Based on the host URL, the software version is retrieved. For example, if you want to configure a deployment that belongs to TotalAgility version 7.11.0, then you specify the URL as <VS711QAOPMTTMS/totalagility>, the software version is retrieved as 7.11.0 and appears read-only. The licensing details (Serial Number and Product Code) are automatically displayed.
You cannot delete or update the host URL if it is in use by any tenant. -
Under
Service Profiles, by default, the
Core Worker Service Profile is set to
None (Default System Settings). Select a different service profile for the deployment as
needed and click
OK.
-
If you do not associate any service profile with the deployment, the Core Worker service uses the default settings from the Core Worker Service configuration file.
-
As each deployment can be a different version of TotalAgility, you cannot add the Core Worker service profiles when you configure an additional deployment for TotalAgility 7.11.0.
-
-
In the
Environments group, add multiple environments for each deployment. To add
an environment, enter a unique
Name for the environment, such as Env1 and click
Add.
The environment name is listed.
-
Add multiple environments as needed.
You can add/edit/delete an environment from a deployment if it is not associated with a tenant.
-
Click
OK.
The configured deployments appear under Additional Deployments on the Data Center page with the following details: Name of the additional deployment, host URL, version number, and the number of environments (separated by a comma) for each deployment.
To delete an additional deployment from the data center, select the deployment to delete and click Delete. On confirmation, the deployment is deleted.
-
An error occurs if any tenant is using the associated environments. You must delete the tenant access to the environment before deleting the deployment.
-
When creating a new tenant, any of the deleted environments pointing to this deployment will no longer be available.
-
- Click Save.
