Configure a data center

A data center is created where the Application server resides. The System session ID validates the connection to the relevant data center from the Tenant Management website and provides a greater level of security for the data center.

You can configure only one data center in the Tenant Management System. The data center is created on installation of on-premise multi-tenancy and the data center cannot be deleted unless you uninstall on-premise multi-tenancy. You can configure additional deployments for a data center and add multiple environments to each deployment.

  1. On the header bar, click Configuration > Data Centers.

    The Data Centers page appears with the default data center name, (On Premise Datacenter Database) and the number of deployments that belong to the data center.

  2. Click On Premise Datacenter.

    The Data Center page displays the following details.

    Name

    A unique data center name. The name cannot be more than 50 characters.

    System Session ID

    The ID to validate the connection to the relevant Data Center from the Tenant Management website. The ID can be a maximum of 32 characters GUID.

    Production (default) deployment details

    Host URL, version of TotalAgility installed, and environment, such as Production.

    Service Profiles

    The Core Worker Service profiles and Transformation Service Profiles created against this data center appear on the list. (Default: None (Default System Settings). Do the following:

    1. On the Core Worker Service Profile list, select the profile to associate with the deployment. See Associate a Core Worker Service profile.

      If you do not associate a Core Worker Service profile with the deployment, the Core Worker service uses the default settings from the Core Worker Service configuration file.

    2. On the Transformation Service Profile list, select the profile to associate with the deployment. See Associate a Transformation Service profile.

      If you do not associate Transformation Service Profile with the deployment, the default system settings are used.

    Additional Deployments

    Only displayed if already configured for the data center.

  3. Optional. If there are no deployments, you can create additional deployments and if you want to have each deployment as a different version of TotalAgility, you can create multiple environments for each deployment. See create additional deployments and add environments.
  4. Click Save.

    The data center is saved.

    The data center is validated before adding to the database.

Update a data center

  1. On the Data Centers page, click the data center to modify.
  2. Make changes as needed. For example, add/update the additional deployments or clear the Core Worker profile associated with a deployment.

    A message appears when the data center is updated.

  3. Make changes as needed and click Save.
