Manage a database server

You can add, update, and delete a tenant database server.

Add a database server

  1. On the header bar, click Configuration > Database Servers.

    The Add/Update Database Server page appears.

  2. Configure the following details for the database server.

    Server Name

    Enter a name for the on-premise server.

    Database Server

    Enter a name for the database on-premise server.

    Database Server Type

    Select the database server type. Available options are SQL Azure, SQL Server, and SQL Server with SSL. (Default: SQL Server)

    Database Creator Name

    Enter the username of the user that has access to create the databases for tenants in the SQL Server.

    Database Creator Password

    Enter the password of the user that has access to create the databases for tenants in the SQL Server.

    Login Creator Name

    Enter the username of the user that has access to create the user logins for tenants in the SQL Server.

    Database Creator Password

    Enter the password of the user that has access to create the user logins for tenants in the SQL Server.

  3. Click Create.

    The Database Server is created and displayed in the right panel under Database Servers.

  4. Click Close.
    If TotalAgility is installed using Windows database authentication, you can leave the Database Creator and Login Creator credentials blank, and the service account user must have the following permissions: Database Creator and Login Creator.

Update a database server

  1. On the Add/Update Database Server page, in the right panel, under Database Servers, click the database server to update.
    The database server details are displayed in the respective fields.
  2. Edit the details, such as server name and database server as needed and click Update.

    A message appears to confirm.

  3. Click Yes.

    The database server is updated.

Delete a database server

  1. On the Add/Update Database Server page, in the right panel, select the database server to delete and click Delete.

    A message appears to confirm the deletion.

  2. Click Yes.

    The database server is deleted.
