Using the Standard upgrade process
The tenant databases are upgraded per deployment.
Prerequisites:

Upgrade the Tenant Management System servers to the latest version. When you do this, only MasterTenants databases are upgraded and not the DataCenterTenants or the tenant databases. See the Tungsten TotalAgility Tenant Management System Installation Guide for more information.

If a tenant has deployments configured, then upgrade the deployment servers associated with the tenant databases you wish to upgrade to the latest version. If you are installing a new deployment server, you must manually upgrade the DataCenterTenants database. Refer to the Tungsten TotalAgility On-Premise Multi-Tenant Installation Guide for more information.
Consider a scenario when there are two additional deployments:

Deployment1 is already upgraded to the current version (8.0.0) with two tenants with this deployment environments.

Deployment2 server is yet to be upgraded and is on TotalAgility (7.11.0) with three tenants associated with this deployment environments.
Use the following procedure to upgrade the tenant-specific databases for the above scenario:
- Login to the Tenant Management System.

On the header bar, click
.
The Upgrade Tenants page displays the following:

The default data center.
-
The deployments that are created for the selected data center appear on the Deployment list.

The Host URL and Version number of installed TotalAgility as read-only fields.

The table with the list of tenants that belong to the selected deployment type with the following details: Tenant name, description, company name, status, upgrade status and result.

On the
Deployment list, select the additional deployment as Deployment1 (that is on
TotalAgility
8.0.0).
The list of two tenants that belong to the selected deployment type appears in the table with the following details: Tenant name, description, company name, status, upgrade status and result.
- Click for the tenant to view what tenants are using the environments associated with that deployment.
- Select the check boxes for the tenants to upgrade and click Upgrade Environments.
- Click Yes in the confirmation message.
- Click Refresh.
The tenant environments are upgraded to the latest version of TotalAgility and the Result column displays the upgrade results. -
On the
Deployment list, select the additional deployment as Deployment2 (that is on
TotalAgility
7.11.0).
The list of three tenants that belong to the Deployment2 appears in the table with the tenant details.
- Click for the tenant to view what tenants are using the environments associated with that deployment.
- Select the check boxes for the three tenants to upgrade and click Upgrade Environments.
- Click Yes in the confirmation message.
As Deployment2 is still on 7.11.0, the selected tenant databases are not upgraded. The Result column displays the upgrade results that the Tenant Management System and Deployment versions do not match.
- Click Close.
- Once the upgrade process of tenants is done, make sure the upgraded tenants are working fine. For example, you can log in to the TotalAgility Designer and check if the system is running properly.
