Add indexes

Add indexes by defining dimensions and index fields.

  1. In the New AI Knowledge Base configuration dialog box, select for Indexes.

    The Add Index dialog box is displayed.

  2. In the Name box, enter a name for the index.
  3. Dimensions are metadata fields or attributes used to organize, filter, and refine search results within the AI knowledge base. Different models may support different dimensions (numeric value) for optimal performance. Therefore, define dimensions for the embedding model you intend to use. Use the default value or provide an inline value for Dimensions. If you specify an inline value, the configured embedded model uses the given index when adding documents to the knowledge base. Once the index is created, you cannot modify the dimension setting.
  4. Add custom index fields.
  5. Configure semantic search for index fields.
  6. Select OK.
