Configure an MCP activity

Use the following procedure to configure an MCP activity.
  1. Add an activity to the map.

    By default, the Configuration tab is open in the properties panel of the activity.

  2. Change the default Name of the activity to something meaningful.
  3. On the Type list, select Common > MCP.
  4. Select Configure link.

    The Configure MCP activity dialog box is displayed.

  5. On the MCP server list, select an MCP server.
  6. On the Tools list, select an appropriate tool for the MCP activity.

    All fields for the selected tool are displayed under Arguments.

    Each tool may contain a different set of arguments.

  7. Map variables to the arguments using dynamic or static values.
  8. On the Response list, select a variable or data object to store the output.
  9. Select OK.
  10. Configure other properties for this activity. See Activity properties.

    At runtime, when you provide the prompt in the chat window, the configured tool is invoked, and action is performed. For example, if you select a tool that is configured to create a job on a TotalAgility process, when the activity executed, a job is created automatically.
