Validate check boxes

A check box is either selected and displayed with a check, or cleared and empty. The extracted result for a selected check box is a "1" and a cleared check box has a value of "0."

You can validate a check box by following these steps:

  1. Open a document with one or more validation errors.
  2. Navigate to the invalid check box field and then click to select or clear the check box field as needed.

Alternatively, use the Up Arrow or Down Arrow keys to navigate to the field, and press SPACE to select or clear the field to indicate its required value.

  3. Press Enter to send the field to the Thin Client Server for validation.

If you edit a check box field and do not press Enter to initiate the validation process with the Thin Client Server straight away, there is no indication of your change when you navigate to a different field. Because of this, it is recommend that you press Enter before moving to another field.

If the field is valid, it turns green on the image, and the next invalid field or table cell automatically loads.

If the field fails validation, the field remains invalid.
