Validate folder fields

If your solution integrator has configured a batch to use folders, you may need to provide information and validate some additional fields related to each folder.

Folder fields are displayed only if foldering is enabled.

When these fields are configured, they are on a separate tab named Folder in the Fields pane. Folder fields behave like regular validation fields, invalid folder fields are marked with the error icon , and you cannot close a batch until all fields in the batch, including folder fields, are validated.

Folder fields are inherited from a parent folder to a child folder. This means that folder fields defined for the parent folder are visible, editable, and invalid when a document in a child folder is being processed.

You can validate folder fields by following these steps:

  1. Open a document with one or more validation errors.
  2. Review the error message in the Current Error pane.
  3. Type the required value in the first folder field, and press Enter to send the field to the Thin Client Server for validation.

    The error icon is removed and the next invalid field is loaded automatically.

  4. Repeat these steps for the any other invalid folder fields.
