Split a document

If a document is incorrectly separated, you can split a single document into two or more smaller documents.

When a document is split a new XDoc is created at the point of the split and includes all subsequent pages. There is no extraction data for the new document. As a result, it is necessary to manually add data for each field on the new document.

On the document before the split, if a field is extracted on a page that was split off, that field is blanked out. The only fields that are retained are either fields with no index or fields that are pointing to pages that are part of the current document.

You can split a document by following these steps:

  1. Select the page where you want to split the document.
  2. From the Edit menu, or the shortcut menu, select Split.

    The current document is separated into two documents.

    You can split documents as many times as necessary to return the documents to their correct structure.
