Convert a custom test set into a benchmark set
You can configure your project and perform preliminary testing using a custom test set. However, if you want to perform a benchmark, you need a benchmark set. This is true for separation benchmarks, classification benchmarks, and extraction benchmarks.
This is because a benchmark set has content that is not available for a test set. In a benchmark set, like a training set, you can assign a class to the documents. This assigned class is then used for comparison when the benchmark is performed.
You can convert a custom test set into a benchmark set by following these steps:
- Open the Documents window if it is not already open.
-
Add or open a document set.
The document set is added to the Documents window as a test set and expands so you can see the document subsets automatically.
-
Right-click the test set heading, and then click
Use as Benchmark Set.
The document set is converted automatically from a test set to a benchmark set and its icon changes to indicate that it is now a benchmark set.
