The General tab has the settings for the country-specific tax model and tax rates, information about the amount validation, and testing.

Supported Countries

Select one or more countries to use their country-specific settings for validation.

Although you can select more than one country from this list, you cannot mix countries that use VAT with those that do not use VAT. For example, you cannot select both Germany and the United States, because Germany uses VAT and the United States does not.

Amount Validation

This area shows the predefined calculations used for the validation of the tax model for the selected countries.

Testing

Enter some sample values in the Test Value column and click Validate to test the predefined calculations. A message shows the validation result.

The following buttons are available at the bottom of this window:

Button	Description
OK	Closes the window and saves your changes.
Cancel	Closes the window without saving your changes.
Help	Displays the help for the open window.
