Databases tab - Project Settings window
Use the
Databases tab to
define and manage associative search, fuzzy, and relational databases that are used in several locator methods, on the validation
form, and in scripts.
Associative Search Databases will be deprecated in a future release of Tungsten Transformation Toolkit. As a result, Tungsten Automation recommends that you switch to a local fuzzy database or a remote fuzzy database via Tungsten Search and Matching Server.
For relational databases, use the Relational Connections group to define the server, credentials, and the database that contains the database table you want use as a data source. Tungsten Transformation Toolkit supports Microsoft SQL Server, ODBC, and Oracle databases. In the Databases group, select the table in the database.
For associative search and fuzzy databases, define the database in the Databases group. Neither fuzzy databases nor associative search databases use relational connections.
Note the following important information:
-
Changes to a database and its settings may affect your current project settings. For example, the settings for a Database Locator or database lookup button may be affected. If needed, apply the changes and save your project.
-
If a database is temporarily unavailable, do not edit any dependent locators or fields because database mappings may be lost. For example, any changes made to a database lookup when one of its databases is unavailable may cause the mappings to be cleared.

Refreshes and tests the database connection. If the connection fails, a message provides details about the error, and a red error indicator is displayed next to the failed connection. It may be necessary to press Refresh for an Oracle database 2–3 times before the connection state is successfully verified. |
Databases
A list of non-relational databases is displayed with their Database Name, Data Source, and Database Type.
