Permanent redaction
The Web Capture Control in Tungsten TotalAgility supports different types of annotations (permanent redaction, highlighting, lines, text, and freehand) using the Web Capture Control. Permanent redaction is a security enhancing form of annotation that makes it possible to conceal sensitive or private sections of a document.
Permanent redaction is similar to a temporary redaction except that the redaction is permanently "burned" into the image during processing. This can be configured automatically by the system administrator or be done manually by the user.
In general manual redaction proceeds as follows:
-
The user draws redactions on the image using the redaction annotation tool.
-
The document with the temporary redactions is passed to a custom activity, designed by the administrator.
-
The custom activity makes the redactions permanent, and the document proceeds to the next activity in the workflow.
Permanent redaction only works via the Web Capture Control. Refer to the Web Capture Control for more information.
