Reclassifying a document

The Document Type list contains a list of all known valid document types for the current workflow. If a document is incorrectly classified, use the document types in this list to reclassify the document.

In Document Review activity, the document type confidence value is shown in parenthesis after the page count. If you change the document type, the text "Reclassified" replaces the percentage value.

  1. In the Navigator Panel, select the incorrectly classified document.
  2. In the Document Type list, select the correct document type.

The Change Document Type window appears.

Alternatively, you change the document type via Thumbnails panel. Click on the Thumbnails panel title and select a different document type on the Document type list. If the document had a document type, then the corresponding document type is displayed on the Document type list. Once you select the new type for the document, the document type list is substituted with the updated Thumbnails panel title reflecting the changed document type and display name.

  3. When prompted, confirm the change.

Changing the document type may result in the loss of field data.
