Splitting a document

If two or more images are incorrectly included in a single document, you can separate them. Splitting a document at a page moves that page and all subsequent pages into a new document. The new document is placed immediately after the selected document. Depending on the project settings, you may need to validate the new document.

You can only split a document if you have the necessary permissions. There are levels of permission; in some cases your administrator may not allow splitting a document at the last page. If you attempt to split a document on a page where splitting is not permitted, the document will not be affected.

  1. In the Navigator Panel, select the page you want to be the first page of the new document after the split.
  2. Right-click and select Split Document.

Instead of using the context menu, you can use the split document shortcut key combination (CTRL+D).
