Merging documents
You can merge a selected document to the previous document in the same folder or can select multiple documents and merge them all into a single document.
If you select only one document, it will be merged with the preceding document in the same folder. In this case you cannot select the first document in a folder, since it cannot be merged "up."
If you select multiple documents, they will all merge in sequence into the top document in the selection. The sequence is determined by the order of the selected documents in the navigation tree.
When selecting multiple documents, you can select from more than one folder.
Depending on the project settings, it may be necessary to validate the document after the merge.
You can only merge a document if you have the necessary permissions.
- In the Navigator Panel, select one or more documents to merge.
-
Right-click and select
Merge to Previous or
Merge Selected.
Instead of using the context menu, you can use the merge document shortcut key combination (CTRL+SHIFT+M). In the Multi-Document Thumbnail Viewer, you can merge a single document with the previous document. Merging of multiple documents is also allowed.
