Create Communication Manager Designer Users

To log on to Communication Manager Designer, you need to create one or more users.

During installation, a default user "Administrator" is created with your provided password. For more information, see Tungsten Communications Manager Installation Guide.

To create Communication Manager Designer users, you can use SOAP calls. For more information, see DesignerAddUserV1, DesignerAddUserV2, and DesignerAddRoleV1.

Also, you can create users with Communication Manager Designer for Windows. Use the following steps to log on as administrator to Communication Manager Designer.

  1. Start Communication Manager Designer for Windows.
  2. In the log in dialog window, enter your credentials and click Login.

    Communications Manager Designer for Windows is opened.

  3. In the menu, click File > Log in as administrator and enter the same credentials.
  4. In the tree view, right-click Users and then click New User.
    The New User window appears.
  5. Enter a name, a full name, and a password, and then click Add User.
    A password must comply with the password policy requirements. For more information, see Requirements for password.
