Uninstall Communications Manager Instance
This section describes how you can use RemoveInstance.exe to uninstall Communications Manager instance from the server.
Overview
RemoveInstance.exe is a command-line tool intended to remove a stopped Communications Manager instance from the server. This tool resides in: <deploy root>\CommunicationsManager\Programs\<version>\Management\Uninstall.
The tool works as follows:
- It removes all Windows services, installation files and registry entries of the
Communications Manager
instance.
If there are other Communications Manager components or other Communications Manager versions on that server, they will be preserved.
Removing an instance clears files, services, and settings specific to this instance. The content database is
unaffected.
Before you start
Before running the tool, check the following prerequisites:
- The instance has been stopped, otherwise RemoveInstance.exe will not proceed.
