Manage Designer for Web in a Communications Manager Instance
You can remove the Designer for Web application from an installed Communications Manager instance or to add it after it has been removed.
AddInstance.exe always creates an instance that includes the Designer for Web application. You can only remove it with the tools after installation.
Remove Designer for Web from an instance
To remove the Designer for Web application, take the following steps:

Navigate to the <deploy root>\CommunicationsManager\Programs\<version>\Management\Instance folder of the Communications Manager installation.

Use the StopInstance.exe tool to stop the instance.

Run the RemoveDesigner.exe tool with the following parameter: Instance!Number=#, where # is the number of the instance that you want to remove Designer for Web from.

Use the StartInstance.exe tool to start the instance.
Add Designer for Web to an instance
To add the Designer for Web application, take the following steps:

Navigate to the <deploy root>\CommunicationsManager\Programs\<version>\Management\Instance folder of the Communications Manager installation.

Use the StopInstance.exe tool to stop the instance.

Run the AddDesigner.exe tool with the following parameters:
- Instance!Number=#, where # is the number of the instance where you want to add Designer for Web.
- Services!Password=#, where # is the password of the Tungsten Communications Manager services account.

Use the StartInstance.exe tool to start the instance.
