Switch to old installation

Since Communications Manager is installed side-by-side with the previous version, you can easily switch to your old installation if the new installation does not work properly.

  1. Navigate to: <deploy root>\CommunicationsManager\Programs\<new version>\Management\Upgrade
  2. Run Deactivate.exe to deactivate the new Tungsten Communications Manager installation.
  3. Navigate to: <deploy root>\CommunicationsManager\Programs\<old version>\Management\Upgrade
  4. Run Activate.exe to activate the old Tungsten Communications Manager installation.

After switching back to the older installation, you can re-activate the new Tungsten Communications Manager installation.

  1. Navigate to: <deploy root>\CommunicationsManager\Programs\<old version>\Management\Upgrade
  2. Run Deactivate.exe to deactivate the old Tungsten Communications Manager installation.
  3. Navigate to: <deploy root>\CommunicationsManager\Programs\<new version>\Management\Upgrade
  4. Run Activate.exe to activate the new Tungsten Communications Manager installation.
