Create a new Changeset

Follow these steps to create a Changeset in KCM Designer.

  1. On the toolbar, click the navigation arrow icon and then click Manage Changesets.
    The Changesets main window appears.
  2. On the Project drop-down list, select a working project.
  3. Click New Changeset in the New pane on the right.

    The New Changeset window appears.

  4. Enter a name and a description for the Changeset and click OK.

    The Changeset appears with the New status.

  5. Click the Changeset and then click Open Changeset in the Other Actions pane on the right.

    The main window of KCM Designer appears.

  6. To view objects that you can add to the Changeset, select Show objects that are not in the Changeset.
  7. To add an object to the Changeset, select an object that is not yet part of any active Changeset and then click Add to Changeset in the Other Actions pane on the right.

    Changesets created outside of KCM Designer are marked with in front of the Changeset name.

    Note To add an object that is in another active Changeset, that Changeset must be deactivated. To learn how to deactivate a Changeset, see Deactivate a Changeset.
  8. To go to the Changeset main window, click the navigation arrow icon on the toolbar and then click Manage Changesets.
