Create Metadata

  1. Navigate to Content > Metadata.
  2. Click Metadata and then click New Metadata in the New pane on the right.

    The New Metadata window appears.

  3. Enter a name for the new Metadata object and assign an ID.

    The ID consists of digits.

  4. Click OK.

    The new Metadata object appears in Metadata.

  5. Click the new Metadata object and then click Edit in the View and Edit pane on the right.

    The Metadata Editor window appears.

  6. Select One value can be selected or Multiple values can be selected. This determines whether multiple values of the Metadata can be associated with a Text Block or whether a Text Block can have only one of these values.
  7. Enter a name for a value and click Add. Do so for every value to create.
  8. Click Save & Close.
  9. To use Metadata, you have to promote it to the Published status. For information on how to promote objects in KCM Designer, see Unlock, accept, and publish objects.
