Search for a Text Block

To quickly search for and locate a Text Block or Rich Text Block in a project, you can use the search function.

  1. On the toolbar, on the Project drop-down list, select a working project.
  2. Click the magnifying glass icon.

    The search window appears.

  3. In the text box, type the search text and click Search. The search is case-insensitive.
    • To search for a Text Block or Rich Text Block in a particular Changeset, on the Changeset drop-down list, select the Changeset and then repeat Steps 2 and 3.

The result field shows Text Blocks and Rich Text Blocks that contain the search text in their name or content.

Tip If a search is taking too long, you can stop it by clicking Abort.

  4. Click the desired Text Block or Rich Text Block from the search results.

The search window is closed, and the selected object is shown in the tree view.

Note If the Text Block filter is currently active in KCM Designer, and the search results do not match it, the folder containing the selected Text Block is opened instead of the object.

To see the results of the last search, click the magnifying glass icon. Unless a different project or Changeset was selected, the window shows the results of the last search performed on the current project or Changeset.
