Icons and tree view menu

The following tables list and describe the available icons and tree view commands for the Content Wizard Editor and Form Editor.

Content Wizard Editor

Icon/Command Name Description
file Root

Represents the entire Content Wizard Editor where the user can configure the global settings for the Editor, such as a display name.

section selection group Section Selection Group

Represents a Section Selection Group containing a number of sections as its children. During composition of a document, the user can interactively choose which of these sections to include in the generated document.

text block selection group Text Block Selection Group

Represents a Text Block Selection Group that contains a number of Text Blocks as its children or a single Text Block List. During composition of a document, the user can interactively choose which Text Blocks to include in the generated document.

section Section

Creates a list of other nodes. For example, Sections, Text Blocks, Section Selection Groups, or Text Block Selection Groups. The user can easily manage common properties of this list.

Text Block - Plain Text Block

Represents a plain Text Block.

Text Block - Rich Rich Text Block

Represents a Rich Text Block.

Text Block List Text Block List

Represents a Text Block List that can only occur as a child of a Text Block Selection Group. A Text Block List is a named list of Text Blocks that is maintained separately in the KCM Repository.

Data Backbone - Repeating Data Backbone - Repeating

Data in a Data Backbone can be repeating or non-repeating, which is reflected in the icons.

This icon represents a repeating Data Backbone node. In a Content Wizard, each Data Backbone node specifies the Data Backbone context for its child nodes. In other words, it specifies what data is available at runtime for these nodes.

Data Backbone - Non Repeating Data Backbone - Non Repeating

Represents a non-repeating Data Backbone node. In a Content Wizard, each Data Backbone node specifies the Data Backbone context for its child nodes. In other words, it specifies which data is available on the runtime for these nodes.

Form Editor

Root Root

Represents the entire Form Editor where the user can configure the global settings for the Editor, such as a display name.

Text Text

Shows additional information during a document composition.

Group - Closed Group - Closed

Represents a collapsed group.

Group - Expanded Group - Expanded

Represents an expanded group.

Text Question Text Question

Question nodes define a question for the user to answer during a document composition.

Text Question asks the user to provide a textual answer.

Editable Text Block Question Editable Text Block Question

Asks the user to provide the content for a Text Block. With this question type, the user can write or edit a Text Block.

Choice Question Choice Question

Enables the user to choose a number of items from the list of values.

Text Block Question Text Block Question

Asks the user to select a Text Block from a list of Text Blocks.

Checkbox Question Checkbox Question

Provides the user with a check box that can be selected or cleared.

Number Question Number Question

Asks the user to provide a numerical answer.

Date Question Date Question

Asks the user to specify a date.

Time Question Time Question

Asks the user to specify a time.
