Include a Text Block in the document

  1. Navigate to Content > Content Wizards and find the folder with the Content Wizard to add a Text Block to.
  2. Click the Content Wizard and then click Edit in the View and Edit pane on the right.
The Content Wizard Editor appears on a tab.
  3. In the document structure, select the item to add a Text Block to.
Note Text Blocks can be added only to a Root, a Section, or a Text Block Selection group.
  4. On the toolbar, click Add item > Text Block.

The Add item - Text Block window appears.

  5. Click Select to select the Text Block from the drop-down list.
Tip The selected Text Block is previewed to the right from the Add item - Text Block window. The preview function is only available for a normal Text Block, not a Rich Text Block.
  6. Click Select to confirm your selection and then click Add item in the bottom right corner of the window. The Text Block appears in the structure of the document you are composing.
  7. To change the position of the Text Block in the document structure, use one of the following three options:

    • Select the Text Block in the document structure and use the Up/Down and Left/Right arrows on the toolbar. The Up/Down arrows move the item within its parent. The Left/Right arrows move the item one level up or down in the document structure.

    • Drag the Text Block to another position within its parent. Navigate to the right corner of the Text Block until three small horizontal lines and the Up/Down cursor appear. While dragging, a blue line shows where the object will be placed when dropped.

    • Drag the Text Block and drop it on another parent. To do so, grab the item anywhere except the right side. While dragging, a block sign might appear where the dropping is not allowed.

  8. Click Save & Close.

To view the document or the changes you have applied, see Test an object.
