Chunking settings

Document chunking is a process of breaking down a large document or text into smaller, manageable units or "chunks." Depending on the chunking method used, each chunk typically represents a distinct piece of text, such as a paragraph, section, or sentence. You can set default preferences for chunking documents when adding them to the AI Knowledge base.

When chunking very large documents, smaller chunk sizes will increase the upload time to the knowledge base. Additionally, make sure the activity expected duration is set correctly to avoid any timeouts.
