Web Capture Service

You can update the URL for the Web Capture Service to allow downloading and installing it on client machine from custom location. Additionally, can allow forward compatibility for the Web Capture Service even if the installed version on the client machine is outdated.

  1. Navigate to System > System settings > Capture > Web Capture Service.
    The Web Capture Service pop-up is displayed.
  2. To locate the custom server for Web Capture Service, enter the Web Capture Service download URL.
  3. To allow older versions of Web Capture Service to be used with the latest version of Scan Client, select Web Capture Service compatibility mode. (Default: Clear)

    • We recommend you not to use this option, because the older Web Capture Service versions do not contain any updated bug fixes or features. As a result, unpredictable behavior may occur.

    • The Web Capture Service forward compatibility is limited only up to the most recent service pack release of Tungsten TotalAgility. This means if Web Capture Service and Capture Client version difference is greater than the release level of Tungsten TotalAgility, Web Capture Service client must be updated even when this mode is enabled. For example, the Web Capture Service from Tungsten TotalAgility 8.1.X is not certified and does not work with Tungsten TotalAgility server 2025.2 or newer.

  4. To Skip alert message for the mismatched Web Capture Service and Capture Client version, select this option. (Default: Clear)
    This option is enabled only when you select the Web Capture Service compatibility mode.
  5. Click Save.
