Configure fields

 Use the Fields menu to configure field extraction for your document types. When you select the Fields menu, the Extraction page appears, where you can perform the following tasks:

• Enable field extraction.

• Add extraction fields to configurable document types.

• Apply field formatting and validation to extraction fields.

• Improve field extraction using existing fields.

For details about different extraction methods, select the info  icon.

When you enable field extraction, the Extraction page is split into two panes:

• The left page contains your document types, associated documents, and fields and tables for the selected document type. Initially, only the first document type is visible, and all subsequent document types are collapsed.

• The right pane displays an image of the selected document type in a document viewer. By default, the first document of the selected document type is displayed.

You can resize the panes by dragging the pane separator as required.
