Suggested fields

When you first open Tungsten TotalAgility DocAI, the suggested fields are displayed automatically.

A separate AI engine is pre-trained to find key-value pairs of data, where the key is highlighted in yellow and the value in blue. Once a suggested field is selected and extracted, the value is highlighted in green.

When adding a suggested field, it is recommended adding keywords for a field label if it differs across documents of the same document type. For example, you have a form that uses Online, Website, and Contact Us to indicate a URL. Adding these labels as keywords aids in the extraction of the URL.

However, you do not need to add every variant of a suggested field keyword because the AI engine can consolidate similar keywords. Keep the following in mind when adding keywords:

  • Keyword matching is not case-sensitive.

  • The semicolon is a word delimiter.

  • Empty values are removed.

    For example, Acct_Number; ;Acct_Name is converted to Acct_Number;Acct_Name automatically.

  • When encountered, the following characters are removed from the extraction results:

    ./\"!?':-_

    For example, removing these characters helps to increase the confidence match between InvoiceNr and Invoice-Nr or 0176457897 and 0176/457897.

If you open a DocAI solution created in a Tungsten TotalAgility version earlier than 8.0.0, when the suggested fields feature was introduced, no additional extraction methods or field data are added based on the suggested fields for existing documents. Upload your documents again so that the AI engine runs, and the suggested fields information is generated.
