DocAI solutions

This page provides an overview of the available solutions. You can manage existing solutions or import or create new solutions. With Tungsten TotalAgility DocAI, you can create a DocAI solution without using the Transformation Designer or the TotalAgility Designer.

The list of DocAI solutions has the following toolbar settings.

Refresh

Refreshes the window and displays any newly added or modified items.

New

Opens the Documents menu so you can create a new solution.

This button is available only when at least one solution is configured. Use the "Create new solution" link to create your first solution.

Import

Opens a File Explorer window to browse to an existing package to import.

Once imported, the package is available to extend a DocAI solution. A package can include:

  • PDF profiles to configure the PDF generation step.

  • Separation profiles for the Scan/File upload import channel.

  • Formatters for field configuration in extraction.

  • Business processes for sub-process activities.

  • Business rules for business rule activities.

  • Custom services for custom service activities.

  • Resources and groups for solution access and activity assignment.

  • Images for the application icon.

Category

Displays the list of categories that the logged-in user can access. The user's working category is selected by default.

Search

Locates an item by name.

Enter the item name and select Search. Items that meet the search criteria are displayed. If no items related to the search criteria exist, an empty list is displayed. On clearing the search criteria, all the items from the working category are displayed.

Open Workspace

Opens the TotalAgility Workspace in a new Browser tab for the logged-in user.

The following information is provided for each solution that you create.

Column

Description

Name

The solution name. Select the name link to open a solution.

Locked by

If applicable, the username of the person who is currently editing the solution.

Last modified by

The user who last modified a solution.

Last modified date

The date when the solution was last modified.

Version

The version number of the solution.

Opens menu with the following settings:
Edit:

Opens the solution for editing. This is the same as selecting the Name of the solution.

If you make any changes to the solution, such as modifying the solution name, the process name is updated, and the version number of the solution is incremented.
Delete:

Deletes the selected solution.

Unlock:

Unlocks a solution for editing. When a solution is released, it is locked by default so that other users cannot make changes.

Associations:

Opens the Associations window that displays the list of associations for the selected solution. Associations help you assess the impact of changes.

This window is empty if there are no associations for the selected solution.
