Enable field extraction

Use the procedure in this topic to enable field extraction to extract individual fields on a document.

It is necessary to enable field extraction for both configurable and predefined document types.

Before you begin

Before you enable field extraction, verify that you have at least one configurable or predefined document type.

The Tungsten Document Library requires a license for use in production. Refer to the Tungsten Document Library Help for a list of supported document types and their required license.

Procedure

Select the  Fields menu.
Toggle Define fields and teach the system to extract data from your document types to Yes. (Default: No)

The first document type is displayed. All subsequent document types are collapsed.
