Configure scan and file uploads

Use the procedure in this topic to configure how documents are scanned or uploaded into DocAI for processing.

Before you begin

No mandatory steps are needed to configure any of the Import Channels. However, before you configure scan and file uploads, we recommend that you configure extraction.

In addition, if you require additional separation profiles or Scan/VRS profiles, add these beforehand. For more information about the profiles, refer to the Tungsten TotalAgility Designer Help.

Procedure

  1. Select the Settings menu on the ribbon.
  2. Select Import Channels > Scan/File upload.
  3. Configure the following settings.

    Scan support

    Select from one of the following values.

    • All devices (Default): Select this value to use all devices as input.

    • MFD devices only: Select this value if your documents are input using a multi-function device.

    Separation profile

    Select a separation profile from the list. (Default: <none>)

    By default, the following values are available:

    • Separate into single-page documents: Each page is considered its own document.

    • Separate at any Barcode: All pages are considered a single document until a bar code is encountered, signaling the start of a new document.

    Scan/VRS profile

    Select a scan/VRS profile from the list. (Default: QuickCapture)

  4. Save your solution.
