Upload batch

On the Upload Batch screen, a user can run the batch from the UI. Users can upload single or multiple files using select files functionality and run the batch for those files. Files with extensions .tiff, .tif, .pdf, .odt, .odp, .odg, .odf, .sxw, .sxi, .sxc, .sxd, .html, .htm, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .doc, .docx, .rtf, .txt, .wpd, .psd, .bmp, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png are supported to run the batch from the UI. The Upload Batch screen creates a batch for the files available on user interface.

Upload files

You can upload files using the Select Files link or drag and drop the file on the bottom panel.

After uploading the files, they appear in the file list and are saved in a new folder. The folder is created in <Transact_Shared_Folder>\upload-batch-folder, and it has the following naming format: <username>_<current-date>_<current-time>.

Batch class fields

User must set the batch class fields to process batch classes. When a user selects a batch class, the Fields button is enabled or disabled as follows:

  • Enabled if the selected batch class has batch class fields.

  • Disabled if the selected batch class does not have batch class fields.

After you click the Fields button, the Batch Class Field(s) window appears with the fields created for the batch class.

Start Batch

After uploading the files, a user can select the batch class from Batch Class field and start the batch using Start Batch button.

A user must set the batch class fields to start the batch for a batch class having batch class fields.

Reset All

You can reset the Upload Batch screen by clicking Reset All.

Batch Class Sorting

Users can sort the batch class drop-down list using a sorting icon adjust to the Batch Class field.

Batch Instance Description

Users can provide the description for batch instance in description text field. This description becomes the batch instance description when a batch instance is created.

When a user selects the batch class, the description is updated with the following format:

<Batch Class Identifier>_<username>_<current-date>_<current-time>

Delete Files

To delete uploaded files, select the check box to the left of the files and click Delete File(s). The uploaded files are deleted.
