Import and export index fields
Importing index fields keeps all configurations and test extraction files from the original index field. This can be helpful for the following use cases:
- When adding a common index field to a document type.
- When migrating Transact environments.
- When testing and debugging index fields in a test environment.
Export index fields
To export an index field, perform the following steps:
- From the Batch Class Management screen, select and open your batch class.
- Go to .
- Select your index field from the grid and click Export.
-
The exported index field will be saved as a .zip file.
You can export multiple index fields at once by selecting more index fields from the grid before clicking Export.
Import index fields
This topic describes how to import index fields. You can only upload one .zip file at a time; however, a .zip file can contain multiple index fields.
To import and index field:
- From the Batch Class Management screen, select and open your batch class.
- Go to .
-
Under
Import Index Field(s), click
Select Files and select your .zip file, or drag and drop the .zip file to the upload zone.
If the imported index field has the same name as an existing index field, you will be prompted to import a copy (duplicate the existing index field) or override the existing document type.
