Register for and configure Transact Cloud

This section describes how to register for an account with Transact Cloud, and how to configure Transact to use the Cloud.

An Transact Cloud account is required to use the Cloud HyperExtender plugin. Only one Transact Cloud account can be associated with an Transact environment, but that same Transact Cloud account can be used for multiple batch classes.

As an Administrator, perform the following steps to configure Transact to use the Cloud HyperExtender plugin:

  1. In Transact, hover over the floating menu on the left side of the application. The Administrator menu displays.
  2. Select System Configuration > Ephesoft Cloud > Register.

    The Registration screen displays.

  3. Complete the following fields on the Registration screen:

    First Name: Enter your first name.

    Last Name: Enter your last name.

    An email address can only be registered once for an account.

    Company Name: Enter the company name on record with Ephesoft Transact.

  4. Click Register. An email containing a temporary password will be sent to you.
    1. Note the temporary password in the email and click the Complete Registration link.
    2. Follow the instructions to set a new password using the temporary password from step 4a.

      Your new password must be at least 10 characters long, include both uppercase and lowercase letters, at least one digit, and one special character (such as ^ $ * . [ ] { } ( ) ? – ” ! @ # % & / \ , > < ‘ : ; | _ ~ `).

    3. Verify that you received an email that contains all the information necessary to configure your connection to the Cloud (account ID, user name, application key).
