View test extraction results

Transact offers extraction methods called Paragraph Extraction and Table Extraction. They are used to extract paragraphs and tables according to the configured rules. Once the rules are defined, you have the following options to check the extraction results:

For Paragraph Extraction:

  • Test Paragraph Extraction option on the Paragraph Extraction Rule Configuration screen.

  • Test Extraction screen under the Document Types tab.

For Table Extraction:

  • Test Table option on the Table Extraction Rule Configuration screen.

  • Test Table Extraction Rule option on the Table Extraction Rules screen.

  • Test Table option on the Tables screen.

  • Test Extraction screen under the Document Types tab.

All Test Extraction screens adjust automatically to show the complete extracted value of the table or paragraph. If extracted value is larger than available screen area, a scroll bar appears on the screen, which you can drag up and down to move through the data.

Paragraph extraction results

  • To check the results on the Paragraph Extraction Rule Configuration screen, click Test Paragraph Extraction. The data is extracted successfully and the complete paragraph is displayed on the same screen. Use the scroll bar to move through the paragraph, if required.

  • To check the results on the Test Extraction screen, go to the Document Types tab, select the document type, and click Test Extraction. On the Test Extraction screen, click Extract to see the results. The complete paragraph is displayed on the Test Extraction screen.

Table extraction results

  • To check the results on the Table Extraction Rule Configuration screen, click Test Table. The complete extracted data is displayed.

  • To check the results on the Table Extraction Rules screen, upload the file containing the table and click Test Table Extraction Rule. The complete values are displayed.

  • To check the results on the Tables screen, select the table, and click Test Table. You can view the complete extracted values.

  • To check the results on the Test Extraction screen, go to the Document Types tab, select the document type, and click Test Extraction. On the Test Extraction screen, click Extract. Then, select Data Table to check extracted table values.
